This note comes from our Listings Desk: facts from the exchange and CoinGecko, nothing about where the price might go.
DRV Bybit listing: what, when and where
This is a futures listing, not a spot one. The Bybit announcement is titled "Listing of DRVUSDT on Bybit Perpetual on Oct 16, 2026, 10:30AM UTC". Our tracker recorded it at 09:29 UTC (12:29 MSK), about an hour before the start. Bybit's page blocked our automated fetch, so the title and the start time come from the announcement headline, and the contract terms below come from Bybit's public instrument API, read on 16 October 2026.

Contract terms as the API shows them:

- The contract is a linear perpetual settled in USDT, with leverage from 1x up to 20x.
- The tick size is 0.0001. The minimum order is 1 DRV and the minimum order value is 5 USDT.
- Funding is exchanged every four hours and capped at +2.5% / -2.5%.
- At the time of reading, the instrument status was "PendingOpen", meaning trading had not opened yet.
Exchanges can change leverage and limits as risk changes, so check the contract page before you size a position. Higher leverage shrinks the distance to liquidation, and the liquidation price calculator shows where that line sits for your entry.
What the token is
According to CoinGecko, Derive is a protocol for onchain options, perpetuals and structured products, running on Derive Chain, an Ethereum rollup built on the OP stack. Fees are governed by DRV holders through the Derive DAO. CoinGecko lists DRV contracts on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Hyperliquid and HyperEVM, and a market cap rank of 125 on 16 October 2026. The project site is derive.xyz. We did not verify the team, audits or token distribution, so we do not describe them.
Supply at listing
CoinGecko showed these figures on 16 October 2026:
- Circulating supply: about 1.0 billion DRV.
- Total and max supply: 1.5 billion.
- Market cap: about $404 million; fully diluted value: about $606 million.
That puts roughly two thirds of the maximum supply in circulation. Later unlocks would add supply to the rest, but we have no verified unlock schedule and do not guess one.

What to watch
A new contract has no price history to anchor structure. Check the spread and the first funding settlement before you trade it, and size from your stop with the position size calculator. This page makes no call on direction.
First hour
DRVUSDT opened at 0.4053 USDT and ended its first hour on Bybit at 0.4214 USDT, between 10:30 and 11:30 UTC (13:30 to 14:30 MSK). Data: Bybit linear perpetual 5m candles, fetched on 16 October 2026 at 11:58 UTC.

| Measure | Value |
|---|---|
| Opening price (10:30 UTC candle, 13:30 MSK) | 0.4053 USDT |
| High | 0.4376 USDT (first candle) |
| Low | 0.4004 USDT (first candle) |
| Last price (close of the 11:25 UTC candle, 11:30 UTC / 14:30 MSK) | 0.4214 USDT |
| Change from the opening price | +3.97% |
The first candle printed both the high and the low of the hour and closed at 0.42. After it, no 5m candle traded below 0.417 or above 0.4331. About 1.385 million DRV traded in the hour, a quarter of it in the first candle. This is one exchange's tape for a contract with no earlier history, so the percentage change from the first price says little by itself.
First 24 hours
DRVUSDT opened at 0.4053 USDT and, 24 hourly candles later, last traded at 0.4035 USDT on Bybit, over the window 10:30 UTC on 16 October to 10:00 UTC on 17 October (13:30 MSK to 13:00 MSK). Data: Bybit linear perpetual 1h candles, fetched on 18 October 2026 at 06:30 UTC. Bybit's hourly candles are aligned to the full hour, so the first candle (10:00 UTC) holds only trades from 10:30 UTC; the opening price is that candle's open.

| Measure | Value |
|---|---|
| Opening price | 0.4053 USDT |
| High | 0.4516 USDT (13:00 UTC candle, 16:00 MSK) |
| Low | 0.3782 USDT (21:00 UTC candle, 00:00 MSK on 17 Oct) |
| Last price (close of the last hourly candle, 10:00 UTC on 17 Oct, 13:00 MSK) | 0.4035 USDT |
| Change from the opening price | -0.44% |
High and low are the extremes of the hourly candles in the window. Percentages measured from the first print of a new contract say little by themselves, and this is one exchange's tape only.
